Curriculum

Our curriculum is based on the UK educational system, supplemented by the IPC curriculum and National Curriculum for Khmer. Senior students prepare for iGCSEs and the IB Diploma / A level, ensuring they are ready for prestigious universities worldwide.

The Junior School Curriculum

The Junior School curriculum at The King’s School, Vattanacville, is designed to build a strong foundation in core academic subjects while nurturing curiosity, creativity, and a love of learning. This curriculum is structured to develop essential skills and knowledge, preparing students for the transition to Senior School.

Core subjects include English, which focuses on literacy skills, Mathematics, which builds understanding of arithmetic, geometry, and problem-solving, and Science, which introduces basic principles of biology, chemistry, and physics through interactive learning.

Humanities, including History and Geography, help students explore historical events and geographical concepts. Modern Languages, such as French, Mandarin, or Spanish, introduce students to new languages and cultures with an emphasis on basic communication skills. The Creative Arts, including Visual Arts, Music, and Drama, allow for creative expression and participation in performances and exhibitions.

Physical Education promotes fitness and teamwork through various sports and activities, while the Personal, Social, and Health Education (PSHE) program helps students develop social skills, emotional intelligence, and an understanding of health and well-being. Technology integration introduces students to basic computing and digital literacy skills.

A wide range of extracurricular activities complements the academic curriculum, fostering holistic development and ensuring that students are confident, curious, and well-prepared for the next stage of their educational journey.

The Senior School Curriculum

At The King’s School, Vattanacville, our Senior School curriculum is designed to prepare students for the challenges of higher education and the global workforce. We offer a broad and balanced curriculum that fosters critical thinking, creativity, and a deep understanding of core academic subjects.

The curriculum includes core subjects such as English Language and Literature, Mathematics, and Sciences (Biology, Chemistry, Physics), ensuring students develop strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Humanities, including History and Geography, provide insights into global issues and historical contexts, while Modern Languages offer opportunities to gain communication skills and cultural awareness in languages such as French, Mandarin, and Spanish.
