Kevin Da Silva

Kevin Da Silva studied Music at Leeds Conservatoire where he majored in composition and performance. He is a trained composer, classical singer, pianist, and can also plays several other instruments including, guitar, bass guitar, drums and ukulele. He has experience teaching music from Early Years all the way up through Primary and Secondary to IGCSE and A level. Previously he has taught in schools in the UK and in Thailand, where he founded the music department which became a multi award-winning department, winning several competitions in Asia including winning the FOBISA Battle of the Bands twice, which is a record no other school has achieved.

Kevin is married and he is a father to a little boy. He has been a health and fitness trainer, which ties in with his interest in exercise and nutrition and his enthusiasm for cooking. He has lived in the USA, France, Brazil, the UK and Thailand before moving to Cambodia. He is passionate about giving opportunities to his students to learn, perform and get excited about Music. He believes learning to play and create music is accessible to everyone and no student should be denied the opportunity to perform and create music in their own way. He teaches traditional methods of making music in conjunction with modern technology-based mediums. The opportunity to establish the music department at King’s School Vattanacville is one he is very excited about undertaking.
