Thida graduated with a bachelor’s and a master’s degree from the National University of Management in Phnom Penh. She began and progressed her career in various industries moving from the hospitality, tobacco, diamond cutting & polishing, and education industries. Before joining The King’s School Canterbury, Vattanacville, Thida worked at a human resources consulting firm. With experience across various industries, she has always had a deep passion for serving and contributing to the education sector. Thida’s ambition and enthusiasm ultimately led her to The King’s School, where she continues to pursue her passion for education.

While pursuing her bachelor’s degree in Hotels and Tourism Management, Thida started her career in the food and beverage service department at Sunway Hotel, an international 4-star hotel chain with a branch in Phnom Penh. She spent 9 years with the hotel, 4 years in the food and beverage industry and 5 years in human resources, with her last role being an assistant to the HR Manager.
After the hotel industry and just as she graduated with her master degree in management, Thida decided to leave the hotel industry and joined the British American Tobacco (BAT) and spent more than 5 years in a human resources capacity. She quickly progressed and moved up from an executive level to a management position, with her last role being BAT’s Employee Services Manager.
Her next journey after leaving BAT, she was working for Laurelton Diamonds Manufacturing, which is a subsidiary of Tiffany & Co. as a Human Resources Manager. As part of the leadership team at Laurelton, she contributed and committed to the best of the success of the factory and was always recognized by the company as an outstanding performer.
Prior to joining The King’s School, Thida was the Head of HR Services at HR Strategic Partner “Optimal P” in charge of several services including Training & Development, Labour Law Compliance, HR Consultation & Advisory, and Digital HR Solutions. As part of the Senior Leadership Team, she has been involved with designing new products and services, driving business strategies and monitoring business performance as well as developing internal team members to ensure the best quality of services provided to the clients.
