Kimheng Thea received his master’s degree from a university in the United Kingdom under the Chevening scholarship fully sponsored by the British government after his dual bachelor’s degrees in education and law. With the experience in an educational sector, upon his return from the UK, Kimheng was offered a position as the Academic Director at one of the most renown language institution. In 2018, he decided to take another big step into becoming the Academic Manager for less than 3 months before he was promoted to be a Campus Director at one of the top international School in Cambodia. During this period, Kimheng oversaw all departments from Academic to Non-academic to ensure the smooth operations of the school and to maintain high standards teaching quality that enhance students with the opportunity to be successful locally and internationally. In 2022, Kimheng joined the Founding principal and the Head of early year as a founding team to start up The King’s School, Canterbury, Vattanacville in Cambodia.

Kimheng and his wife have just entered parenthood with a 4-month-old baby boy. As a leader and an educator, Kimheng cherishes and holds on the principle of instilling global mindset with the respect of different cultures. Kimheng has always been amazed by the diversity of culture and that is the reason why he loves to explore new places to learn how people live their lives and to build up the definition of the term “Meaningful Life”. Being a member of the King’s School team provides a platform for Kimheng to contribute his experience, distribute his love of live long learning, and to provide students with the quality education/learning experiences at a truly British International school. He looks forward to welcoming parents and students to our King’s community.
