On Wednesday, King’s School hosted the termly Cambodia International Schools Safeguarding Association (CISSA) meeting. Formed less than two years ago, CISSA enables schools to collaborate on safeguarding and child protection, both physically and in cyberspace. We were pleased to welcome Nick Rose (Deputy Director) and Simone Searle (Safeguarding Lead) from the Cambodia Child Protection Unit (CPU), which assists the police in investigating child abuse cases and supports women affected by domestic abuse. Moving forward, we will work closely with CPU to help our staff navigate this critical topic, including scenario-based training relevant to schools in Cambodia and worldwide.
