Honouring Cambodia’s Heritage and Spirit

At The King’s School, Vattanacville, we recently came together as a community to mark Cambodia’s Independence Day with a joyful and meaningful celebration. Students across all year groups participated in a series of engaging activities that highlighted the pride and unity of this remarkable nation.

Our youngest learners in Pre-Nursery and Nursery were full of excitement as they made their own doves and Cambodian flags. With guidance from their teachers and older peers, they embraced the opportunity to create these symbols of peace and national pride, while also learning about the significance of the day. Their creativity and enthusiasm added to the warmth of the occasion.

Our Primary students showed impressive maturity as they supported their younger peers throughout the activities. They took great care in guiding the little ones with their flag-making and dove creations, demonstrating a wonderful sense of community and leadership.

A special thanks goes to our Secondary students, who once again displayed remarkable teamwork and support. Their energy and willingness to assist with the activities helped ensure the day ran smoothly and with great enthusiasm. Their positive attitude played a key role in making the celebration truly memorable.

As we reflect on this special day, we are reminded of the importance of unity, pride, and togetherness. We are grateful to all the students, teachers, and staff who contributed to making our Independence Day celebration such a success.
